My final magazine cover

This is my final front cover of the KHS magazine.

The name
As a pupil in the school rumours are normally what creates gossip in the school so i thought it would be a suitable heading. The name is bold and I think it brings a professional touch by me adding all of the information underneath the title showing what issue it is too.

Pictures
I personally took the photograph of Mrs Lewis (The head teacher), to do this I used a 30 mega pixel camera and took the picture of her against a blank wall so it would be easier to edit, I then edited out the background using the software of Photo Shop. The other pictures explains what will be inside the magazine.

What I like:

• Main picture
• Colour Scheme
• Name of the Header
• The barcode to show that I'm looking further into the professional side of editing a magazine

What I don't like:

• The amount of space on the front cover of the magazine
• The star that is cut off the page due to limited editing skills
• The header colour scheme because it blends in too much with the background for the header

From practicing 'creating a magazine cover' it has enabled me to refresh myself from previous learning and to learn new skills that I can now further develop into creating my official cover for A Level.
