To start my contents page off I started with the background of my page, I decided to create a gradient on the page because it gave an effect that made everything else on the page stand out and also made it look more inviting than a blank white background. To create a gradient I drew a box using the shape tool and then using the colour tab on the right side of the page created the fill using the three main colours of red, white and blue to create the British flag representing that the magazine is a British company and also so are the artists that feature in it.
The logo was then added in the top left corner to show that this page is still significant and related to the magazine so that it can not be mistaken for advertisement or any other form of page not related to the magazine. I think that the logo is a suitable size as its not too small that the readers can not see it but its not too big that it takes up to much of the valuable space needed for the more important content to be added.
