Front Cover progress - 4
After adding my Pug I then added the content around the image, I used the same colour scheme of red, white and blue to keep it consistent. I also used the same font because I thought it looked more presentable when the same font was used. To add the text I used the text tool and created a text box which then allowed me to type the content that was meant to be included in the cover. It was important however that the text was bold to catch the audiences and readers eye, this meant that using the words 'OMG, WOW and WIN' had to be a bigger font size because these are the slang words that catch the readers attention.
Underneath the bold words was the smaller content which consisted of explanations of what was included on those specific pages. When writing the page numbers it was essential that they corresponding with the page numbers on the double page spread and also on the contents page.
When looking at the final version of the added text I decided that the bold words of 'OMG and WOW' did not stand out as much as they could so I created a border around the text in order to make it stand out more.
Also when adding the text I had to put it on a third layer, this allowed the image of Steele to stay behind the content on the magazine but stay in front of the header, this technique was used regularly in music magazines such as NME and Q however some of the magazines put there content around the image but I thought that that style didn't suit the type of magazine I was trying to create.
