On the left side of the contents page is the content within
the magazine, it was important that I planned this page carefully as the numbers
on the front cover had to correspond with the numbers on the contents page to
not confuse the reader or make it unclear. The content was split into two
headings of ‘FEATURES’ and ‘EXLUSIVE THIS WEEK’ the reason I did this was
because I thought it looked structured and organized. I used a red box with a
double black border and then added this text to show that they were headings
and then used a smaller text underneath to represent the sub headings, the
reason I did this was to show the headings of every page and then underneath
included a little explanation about what was on that page for the reader to
decide if they wanted to read that article or not. Next to each of the sub
headings I put a page number which corresponded with the front cover to let the
reader know what content was on each page, when researching into contents pages
I found that the magazines didn’t include every page and just included the main
stories, for the page numbers I used a more informal font and also made it
larger than the subheading to make it stand out more. When creating my contents
page I thought it would be useful if I separated the content using a thin line
to separate pages and keep it organized not to confuse the reader, by using a
read line I thought this was effective and still matched the colour scheme.
